Sunrays cut through my skin
They make me shiver once again
Almost forgotten what it´s like
At the cemetery gates
when the morning´s so bright
Just dug out graves give me a chill
Shadows dance upon the ceiling
Reflecting memories of feelings
Soft warmth brings the earth to life
Piled up crosses along the way
Fertile soil, bloom and decay
What plans we had in fields of spring
Where we used to sing
We shook our hands to pledge allegiance
Where the treetops swing.
